Inside the FloMov™

The FloMov™ pump is built on the principle of an airlift pump, designed for efficiency and reliability. An airlift pump works by injecting compressed air into a pipe that is submerged in liquid. As the air rises, it pushes the liquid upward along with it. The liquid continues to rise until the upward force from the air is balanced by gravity and the resistance of the system. This process allows liquids to be moved using only the rising air, with no internal moving parts.

FloMov™ airlift pump diagram showing how compressed air lifts water and supports gas-liquid mass transfer with no internal moving parts.

However, airlift pumps can be energy-intensive, which is why our pump were engineered with optimal air-to-liquid ratios for maximum efficiency.

By using the optimal submergence ratio, our pump maximizes efficiency, ensuring the best performance with minimal energy use.

The FloMov™ features two adjustable injection points, allowing you to fine-tune the air-to-liquid ratio for your operation.

Axial Air injection - Enhances water lifting through a pipe inside the pump which directs injected air upward, creating a lifting force along the pipe wall.

Radial Air Injection - Improves aeration through a perforated tube with small holes which produce tiny air bubbles, increasing the surface area for oxygen transfer.
